Yan provides trusted advisors and their clients* with business valuation services (conclusion of value and calculation of value) for tax and non-tax purposes, dispute resolution and litigation support (matrimonial valuation, economic damages and lost profits business interruption losses) as well as fair value for financial reporting audit support (ASC 820, 805, 350, 360). Yan also renders consulting and testifying expert services to review and challenge opposing expert reports and calculations and works with counsel to develop pertinent line of questions and inquiry for the trial deposition.

Yan had held various strategic advisor level roles at leading management consultancies like Ernst & Young and CAPCO, where he had lent his expertise to enhance, transform and validate operational processes focused on model governance data, lineage accuracy assessment for financial forecasting models, capital planning models and fraud predictive and detective models. Yan has also led large teams focused on delivering regulatory remediation and transformation projects in connection with MRA and MRIA.
Yan had authored original white papers that were published at peer reviewed publications and focused on fraud risk management, business valuation, digital transformation, risk and control remediation.
